What is CeGen?

The Spanish National Genotyping Centre (CeGen) was created at the end of the year 2003 by Fundación Genoma España, launched by the Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs and the Ministry of Education and Science.

CeGen´s objective is to provide research groups at institutes, universities, hospitals and companies with the tools and infrastructure necessary to carry out high-throughput SNP (Single Nuceleotide Polymorphisms)  genotyping projects in order to be able to compete on an international level.

CeGen´s genotyping platforms and personnel are open to projects not only on humans, but also on any other species.
